About Northeast Christian Academy
Our story
A reading program in 1976. A school ever since.
NECA began as a reading program in 1976. Northeast Christian Academy was established the following year, in 1977, and has served El Paso families from Northeast El Paso since then.
Today the school teaches students from K3 through twelfth grade on one campus. Younger and older students share the same hallways, the same gym, and the same chapel, which is part of why teachers here tend to know families rather than just class rosters.
NECA has a ministry relationship with Sun Valley Baptist Church. Final public wording for that relationship will be provided by the school.

Choosing a school is one of the more significant decisions a family makes. We do not take lightly that parents would consider entrusting their children to us for the better part of a day, five days a week.
Our aim is straightforward: sound academic work, taught by teachers who care for their students, in a setting where Scripture, chapel, and Christian character are part of ordinary school life rather than an add-on.

What we believe
A Christian school, plainly stated.
Northeast Christian Academy is a Christian school. Bible classes, chapel services, and Christian character are foundational to how the school teaches and how students are cared for day to day.
The school's official Statement of Faith is provided by NECA. Families receive it as part of the enrollment materials, and the full text will be published here once the school supplies the current wording.
Our standard
P.R.I.D.E.
Five words the school returns to in classrooms, chapel, and competition. They are taught, named, and expected.
Perseverance
Hard work continues after the first attempt. Students are asked to stay with a subject until it is understood, and teachers keep working alongside them while it happens. Perseverance is practiced in ordinary places: a math page, a memory verse, a second try in the gym.
Respect
Teachers, classmates, families, and the campus itself are treated with courtesy. Respect shows up in how students speak in the hallway, how they treat a substitute, how they handle a loss, and how they talk about people who are not in the room.
Integrity
Honest work and honest words, including when no adult is watching and nothing is being graded. Students are taught that character is not a performance for teachers; it is who they are on an unremarkable Tuesday.
Determination
Goals are set, kept in view, and pursued through the ordinary weeks of a school year. Determination is the habit that carries a student from an interest into a skill, whether that is reading, writing, an instrument, or a sport.
Excellence
Careful effort offered as service, not as competition with the student sitting nearby. Excellence at NECA means finished work, clear thinking, and a willingness to do a thing properly because it is worth doing properly.
