Athletics
Athletics is part of student life at NECA, with an emphasis on teamwork, discipline, character, and representing the school well.
Character in competition
The same standard as the classroom.
Through athletics, students are encouraged not only to develop physically and compete to win, but more importantly, to honor Christ and represent Him with integrity both on and off the field or court.
Perseverance
Hard work continues after the first attempt. Students learn to stay with a subject until it is understood.
Respect
Teachers, classmates, families, and the campus itself are treated with courtesy, in and out of class.
Integrity
Honest work and honest words, including when no adult is watching and nothing is being graded.
Determination
Goals are set, kept in view, and pursued through the ordinary weeks of a school year.
Excellence
Careful effort offered as service, not as competition with the student sitting nearby.
