Grades 1 to 6
Elementary

Elementary
Grades 1 to 6, on the same campus.
Elementary is where the academic foundation is laid: reading with fluency, writing in complete thoughts, arithmetic that becomes reliable, and the study habits that secondary work will assume. NECA teaches these grades with the Abeka curriculum in a traditional, structured classroom.
Coursework at this level uses the Abeka curriculum, taught in a traditional, structured way, with Bible classes and chapel as part of the week.
What families can expect
The parts of Elementary that hold true every year
A traditional core
Reading, language, spelling, mathematics, history, and science, taught in a defined sequence with regular practice and review.
Christian worldview
Bible class and chapel are part of the ordinary school week, and Scripture is not treated as separate from the rest of learning.
Character taught alongside academics
P.R.I.D.E. gives teachers shared language for perseverance, respect, integrity, determination, and excellence.
Room to be a kid
Field trips, programs, spirit week, and elementary athletics are part of school life, not extras reserved for older students.
